What? Why? Ok and?

I feel like as a highschooler I can only be an active feminist by retweeting passive agressive feminist quotes on twitter. But if there’s anything I know about my personality, it's that passive aggressive is NOT my personality type. I hate calling it aggressive-aggressive, but essentially that’s what my personality is. My headstrong attitude has gotten me eye rolls, laughs, questionable looks, and sometimes even in trouble. I pick my battles carefully, but I always speak my mind. If I’m thinking of something, you’ll know it in the most blunt, honest, and usually sarcastic way possible. That’s exactly what I want this blog to be. Real problems from real people. Honest opinions and stories about all the issues women are facing today because we can’t keep sweeping them under the rug in hopes to forget about them. While women may no longer be denied rights legally, there’s still work to be done if I have to continue to carry mace with me wherever I go. I’m too scared to be writing about this as a joke or for fun anymore. I’m writing in hopes to shed light upon the fact that gender equality issues are not just in books and movies, they encapsulate our society and suffocate the women who could have so much potential.
